Position Overview As an Artificial Intelligence Consultant, you help clients understand and adopt AI. You will operate at the intersection of business process and engineering. Your mission is to advise clients about how to adopt AI, helping them demystify the complexities of AI and chart a clear, value-driven path from initial concept to scaled implementation.

This is not a traditional advisory role; you will be a hands-on project manager, working with multidisciplinary teams to build and deploy AI solutions. This role is fundamentally different from traditional management consulting, focusing on tangible, technology-driven outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Analysis & Strategy: Perform financial and operational analysis of businesses to identify and quantify the highest-value opportunities for applying artificial intelligence. Build a business case and methods to measure the results of our work.

• Stakeholder Influence: Influence business managers and client staff to change how they think about their business, challenging core assumptions in light of AI capabilities. Effectively listen to the concerns of a client to build a sense of empathy and trust.

• Communication: Prepare presentations that explain to clients the reasoning behind an AI technical design and how to interpret model outputs that they may find counterintuitive. Effectively answer questions from clients.

• Project Management: Assist in the day-to-day project management of cross-functional teams that require close collaboration of data scientists, engineers, and business analysts using agile project management methodologies to ensure the timely delivery of high-impact solutions.

• Ground AI in Enterprise Truth: Guide AI engineers in how to understand a company's proprietary data and incorporate it into a secure and verifiable fact base.

• Enable Autonomous Action: Become an expert in the business process workflows of a client and use this insight to help engineers design and deploy agentic workflows.

• Workflow Redesign: When a client needs to change how they operate to leverage AI, collaborate with client business teams to redesign and reimagine core workflows, leveraging agentic AI to increase productivity and augment human capabilities.

• Innovation: Combine industry analysis with technical expertise to help identify situations where novel AI models may drive the innovation of new products and services, helping clients create new revenue streams and disrupt their markets.

• Generative AI Enablement: Help clients to improve the effectiveness of creative processes through the use of generative AI.

• Data Integration: Collaborate with data engineers to implement data pipelines that seamlessly integrate vast streams of unstructured data (e.g., text, images, video) into core business analytics functions, unlocking previously inaccessible insights.

• Lifecycle Management: Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle, from scoping and requirements gathering to prototyping, testing, deployment, and ongoing performance monitoring.

• Business Development: During periods between AI implementation projects, assist in developing new business by preparing presentations and talking with clients about how SDG may be able to solve some of their most critical challenges.

Qualifications

• Education: BA/BS degree is required; an MBA or an advanced degree is preferred.

• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in management consulting.

• AI Acumen: An understanding of how artificial intelligence, particularly generative and agentic AI, is applied in a business context.

• Analytical Skills: Ability to perform financial modeling and operational analysis on business datasets to build business cases.

• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential, with a demonstrated talent for storytelling and translating complex technical details into clear, persuasive narratives for executive audiences.

• Collaboration: Demonstrated success working in high-performance, cross-functional teams, with a collaborative mindset and a commitment to collective success.
