✍ What will your mission be?
As a GCP Cloud Platform Administrator, you will be responsible for the administration, optimization and continuous improvement of Google Cloud environments, ensuring that our platforms are secure, scalable, reliable and cost-efficient.
Your main responsibilities will include:
🔹Administer and operate Google Cloud Platform environments, covering Compute, Storage, Networking, Security, IAM, Governance and Monitoring.
🔹Manage Google Cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM), including users, groups, service accounts, roles and organization-level policies.
🔹Design and maintain secure access models following least-privilege and cloud security best practices.
🔹Deploy, configure and maintain GCP resources such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud SQL and managed cloud services.
🔹Manage GCP networking, including VPCs, subnets, firewall rules, routes, private connectivity and hybrid connectivity where required.
🔹Automate infrastructure provisioning and operational tasks using Terraform, Google Cloud CLI, APIs and scripting languages such as Python.
🔹Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated and reliable cloud deployments.
🔹Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices across GCP environments.
🔹Monitor platform health, performance and availability using Google Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging and alerting capabilities.
🔹Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure incidents, outages and performance issues, coordinating with engineering and project teams when required.
🔹Analyze Google Cloud billing and usage, identifying optimization opportunities and underutilized resources.
🔹Contribute to FinOps and cost optimization initiatives, including rightsizing, resource governance and budget monitoring.
🔹Implement and maintain cloud security and governance controls across GCP projects and organizations.
🔹Collaborate with developers, Data Engineers, Architects, Project Managers and business stakeholders to deliver reliable cloud solutions.
🔹Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, architecture documentation, contingency plans and runbooks.
🔹Continuously evaluate new Google Cloud services and platform capabilities to improve our cloud and data environments.
👇 What will make you successful in this role?
🔹3+ years of experience administering Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or equivalent experience in cloud infrastructure administration.
🔹Strong understanding of Google Cloud architecture and core services, including Compute, Storage, Networking, IAM and Security.
🔹Solid knowledge of GCP networking, VPCs, subnets, firewall rules, routing and private connectivity.
🔹Experience managing IAM, service accounts, roles and organizational policies.
🔹Experience with Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform.
🔹Experience with Google Cloud CLI (gcloud), APIs and automation.
🔹Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment automation.
🔹Experience with Google Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging or equivalent observability platforms.
🔹Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve issues across GCP infrastructure and cloud-based applications.
🔹Understanding of cloud security, governance and cost optimization principles.
🔹Strong scripting and automation skills, preferably with Python.
🔹Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
🔹Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional and international teams.

🔹Google Cloud certifications, such as Associate Cloud Engineer, Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer.
🔹Experience with BigQuery, Cloud Run, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Dataproc or Composer.
🔹Experience with Google Cloud data and analytics platforms.
🔹Experience with Kubernetes and containerized workloads.
🔹Experience with Terraform and GitOps practices.
🔹Knowledge of FinOps and cloud cost optimization.
🔹Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments, particularly GCP and AWS/Azure.
🔹Experience with security and compliance frameworks in cloud environments.
